Description
What happened
- BIDS recently signed on as 2i2c's first premier member organization
- They'll also act as a lighthouse collaborator to help us design our member network services and relationships.
- This will give us a foundation for technical and social collaboration that we hope leads to deeper collaborations with the Berkeley community.
Any pull quotes?
[pull from the blog posts linked below]
Why is it valuable
- BIDS has been a leader in supporting open source and cross-disciplinary open science for many years, and we believe this will give us valuable feedback and partnership to improve our impact
- It is also the first member of our membership model which is a key part of our sustainability strategy.
- BIDS has been a part of 2i2c's story from the beginning, and this recognizes the continuing influence and support we've gotten from the organization in supporting open science and open source.
