I would be easier for people to visualize the purpose of this module with a hosted demo.

This is a good idea. I will look into creating a hosted demo. You can otherwise clone and run https://github.com/50onRed/pjax-table/blob/master/standalone/index.html for client generated templates, used for some basic checks and testing.
