Thanks for that suggestion. I guess i just didn't think about ESP32 since i still have plenty China Arduinos laying around. The Signals wiith this solution are also not send very quickly, hence it is not suitable for Endstops and Emergency Switches for example. But i use it for a couple months now in my control panel to switch all the buttons and LEDs and i can't "feel" the lag. |

This looks very promising.
I was using a USB arcade machine controller but found that the signals arrive real late with that solution.
Will try your solution, looks very nice. But I wonder why you do not mention EPS32 chips, much cheaper then an Arduino and much more I/O.
