Strange behavior when an open graph loses focus

If you click Messages, an open graph appear to lose focus (i.e., it is white instead of blue when you return to the Graphs pane). Clicking the Graph name now causes a second instance of the graph to appear. State in the original graph visualization becomes very confused and multiple instances of the nodes are drawn on top of one another.

Weird. Not sure the exact cause.

A possible clue is that with Backbone.ioBind, the existing collection's data is passed to the server for any Collection.fetch() after the first one (#49). I think that itself is a bug since Backbone doesn't usually work like that. This has caused some strange results for me. Short term, I was explicitly passing {data: {}} as an option.
