[bug] ngrok URL. Clicking the Login button only refreshes the page

What happened?

Login works on localhost, but not via the ngrok URL. Clicking the Login button only refreshes the page instead of signing in.

Steps to reproduce

The login is not working through the ngrok URL. When I click the Login button, the page simply refreshes instead of logging in. It works correctly on localhost, but not through the ngrok URL.

Thanks for reporting this. We reviewed the current login flow and the behavior may be caused by the client-side redirect reaching /dashboard before the Supabase session cookies are available to the middleware. The middleware would then redirect back to /login, which looks like a page refresh.

Before we confirm the fix, could you please provide:

• the ngrok hostname suffix you are using (for example, *.ngrok-free.app);
• the command used to start Next.js and ngrok;
• any browser console or network errors after clicking Sign in;
• whether cookies named sb-*-auth-token appear for the ngrok domain after the login request;
• the response status for the Supabase password login request and the following /dashboard request.

A likely fix is to use a full-page navigation after signInWithPassword() succeeds, ensuring the next request sees the persisted session. We may also need to document/configure Next.js allowedDevOrigins for ngrok development domains. We will keep the issue open until the behavior is reproduced and verified.
