simply run control catalog, there are numbered squares in the items repeater...

scroll slowly until the top row just disappears, notice that items repeater shifts the numbers.

More info:

Seems to happen if you use... MaximumRowsOrColumns="4"

then you resize it to the point where you would be able to fit 5 items horizontally... now vertical scrolling you see items getting jumbled up
