please can we have a hatch for fluid and items, even if they have lower capacity or are more expensive. it would save TPS by not having to do subnetwork shenanigans for every item-fluid mixed recipe with AE2.

This issue is not a modern industrialization item, it's a extended industrialization item. Also it is not a bug, it's how MI machines are intended to work. Slot locking prevents the wrong items from being crafted.

MI devs usually don't want to add new features. A mixed hatch already exists with the Yet Another Industrialization mod though.
