Is App Cache a production ready and supported feature? #272

We are considering using App Cache for our Linux Azure Functions. However we are wondering if this feature is a supported production ready feature.
- The feature is mentioned here, but only in a note. The only actual documentation seems to be here. That page was last edited in 2021, and contains a dead link: https://github.com/azure-app-service/imagebuilder/issues
- There are a bunch of questions about App Cache on this github, but there don't seem to be any responses from the maintainers. The last closed issue is from 2021.
All in all, it doesn't really look like this feature is being taken seriously by Microsoft, and as such I am hesitant to use it. Can you assuade my worries?
