However you might notice that there’s an error message which says “Fault List: … “ and some faults such as TC Range and CJ Range. They are explained here: https://datasheets.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/MAX31856.pdf . The thermocouple seems to be delivering reasonable values except every once in a while there are data drops and we get 0.0 values…
I think this might be related to the fact that I was not able to cut the pins (pins: 38, 40, 42, 44). I could not find a tool in the lab small enough to cut them down. Maybe there’s something around in your toolbox?
Also, it seems that the data from the other sensors will only show once a GPS connection is made.
Might this be enough to help guide the board fixes while I’m away? I will leave everything setup in the lab. All you would need to do is plug your laptop in and read the values once the gps has a fix.

I managed to add the wire from the bottom of the arduino mega to the thermocouple connector board and am now getting a response.
