diags test may be much larger than necessary

Some file in download list may contain many more variables than actually used by test suite in diags, we should consider recreating the files with only the variables we need, the current size is currently 1.4Gb.
This morning @mcenerney1 and reduced the size for 1 same file from 300Mb to 5Mb.
