The font-sizes and floats should have a way to specify the maximum number

It is rather arbitrary to say '10' for the number of font-sizes and floats.

This feature is only useful if the developer can enforce a standard that he has set.

It is indeed. The developer could always change this number in their version of CSSLint, but it would be cool to have something like this in the config file.

Actually now that I think about it, it would be nice to be able set a maximum on any property.

background-color, color, background-image, etc.

I published a branch that checks dupes on all properties back in december.
I just wasn't sure how to integrate that with the normal CSSLint output.

Perhaps I am misinterpreting.

Can you just interpret some special CSS comments? Kind of like JSHint/JSLint?

I.e:

/* csslint floats:10 */

would you want it to vary per file? I think it should be (currently isn't)
one big number across all files.

Seems like it should be per file, of course you may run into a problem if you put multiple files together.
