Schedule Discussion for Lounge Upgrades and Engagement Boost

🧠 Context

Our lounge space currently looks dull and uninviting (often described as being "similar to a hospital"), and in the past year the number of students that regularly visit the lounge has dropped significantly (especially first years).

We should create a plan for improving our lounge space and ways to increase many people engage with it.

⚒ Action

Schedule a meeting with interested BoD + volunteers to discuss:

• Equipment, furniture and decorations we want to purchase for the lounge before the start of the fall term
  • We should separate these into "needed" and "nice to haves" since what we purchase is budget dependant
• Ways to increase student engagement with the lounge
  • Those attending the meeting should try to think of ideas that can be discussed/fleshed out at the meeting

To give people a chance to prepare for the meeting, we should lock in a date and promote it at least 4-5 days in advance. We should also clearly mention the talking points for the meeting so people can think of suggestions (similar to this).

We should aim to have this discussion before the end of July so we have time to work on action items that come out of this meeting, before the term starts.

We can optionally ping the volunteer role to alert any non BoD volunteers that may be interested in contributing/listening to the discussion

• Topics have been clearly communicated in advance
