Hello. I am new to Beamer. Using this theme, my pdf failed to compile. I used the hello world example. The error is: ! LaTeX Error: Command \pgfpages@layoutbefore@6 on 1 already defined.Or name \end... illegal, see p.192 of the manual.See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for explanation.Type H <return> for immediate help.... }.

Is this fixable? Thanks!

Thank you for your report. I have tried to reproduce your error, but unfortunately I cannot. Could you maybe share exactly how you compile the example and the full logs? Thank you in advance.

Experiencing a similar issue with the beamer class of Radboud University. The offending section there seems to be:

If I comment this section (surrounding it with \if 0 and \fi), this fixes the problem. The block before in beamerruhuisstijl.cls (\pgfpagesdeclarelayout{3 on 1}) has roughly the same structure. If I comment that, but leave the 6 on 1 block, the error persists.

Same issue here, I get the following error:

./beamerthemetue2008.sty:228: LaTeX Error: Command \pgfpages@layoutbefore@6 on 1 already defined.
               Or name \end... illegal, see p.192 of the manual.

Similar to @mrngm, I commented the line using \if and it seemed to fix the problem. Not sure what the consequences are here...

Commenting that out will only affect the output if you use the option slidesperpage=6, i.e. to put 6 slides on one page.
