Version 2.1.0

Within just a few weeks of 2.0.0, version 2.1.0 is coming with some a few new goodies!

Features

• Running jobs can now be modified or canceled.

  Please note that TimeCamp support for this is limited; TimeCamp treats running jobs as both a regular time entry and something they call a timer, and creating a workaround for that in TimeLight would be impractical. Therefore, a "ghost entry" with zero duration will be left behind when canceling timers, and modifying running TimeCamp entries will not always work correctly.

• TimeLight now defaults to checking for updates every three seconds instead of every one second for new installations.

• A developer mode has been added that provides developers with an easy way to access keys and IDs for various objects. This is aimed at simplifying the process of manually crafting API calls for testing.

  Developer mode is hidden by default to make TimeLight more user-friendly. To enable developer mode, open the settings dialog and press F7. Once you've done so, you'll have a developer tools entry in TimeLight's context menu.

Changes

• TimeLight now defaults to checking for updates every three seconds instead of every one second for new installations.
• The interval between checks to see if your week's work time has been completed has been increased to one hour, meaning fewer API requests.
• The version of SingleApplication being used has been upgraded.

Fixes

• The settings dialog will no longer open at varying widths depending on its content.
• The installer now properly kills any running instances of TimeLight before installing or uninstalling it.
• A few bits of unused code were removed.
• The copyright year in the about dialog was updated to the correct year.
• Reenabled a bit of code that set the start time for TimeCamp timers.
• Removed the startup window notification on Freedesktop systems.
• Various dead or replaced code was removed.
