If a pawn has a ranged weapon, instead of needing to directly click on a enemy (though this option should not be removed), you can opt for defining a line, in which the gunner will target, the direction and orientation of the line of fire depends on the direction and orientation of your mouse drag, and order matters, if you order a gunner to fire vertically then horizontally, he'll fire vertically first, cancelling a fire order will cancel everything, if a line of fire is finished, the combatant will continue from where he stopped, e.g: if his line is left to right, he'll continue from right to left, and so on. The lines of fire should be color coded per pawn, to avoid confusion.
Of course, all the rules still apply, such as range and arc, however, i believe the command should remain, even after moving (though could be configurable), and any ranged weapon should be capable of using this system, with limitations naturally arising with their characteristics.
Let me know what you think of this? The idea of this is to allow for more creative supression techniques than just one deliberate target, as well as more flexible prefiring, and a variety of things.
