It is working as intended. Dat files are the correct output and their content varies depending on what you unpacked. There are no specific tools developed to work with raw dat files in general (nothing like frosty editor). You can use a hex editor to view and edit them.

I unpacked the PC version of BP TUB and I got the .dat files, now I want to know, how many bytes (or lines) do we have to delete in (HxD) hex editor to get something useful?
