Codex MCP Support

Im using OpenAIs Codex Extension within vscode. Is it possible to somehow use the React-Bits MCP within codex?

You can configure the shadcn MCP in Codex, yes.

In order to get shadcn mcp in the codex ide extension running i configured it like that in the toml file:

[mcp_servers.shadcn] command = "C:\\nvm4w\\nodejs\\npx.cmd" args = [ "shadcn@latest", "mcp" ] env = { SystemRoot="C:\\Windows", APPDATA="C:\\Users\\leon\\AppData\\Roaming" } startup_timeout_ms = 40_000

ShadCn MCP now works and is callable. Then i added the react-bits registry in my components.json:

Now i get this error from shadcn when trying to call react-bits:
Error (NOT_CONFIGURED): Unknown registry "@react-bits". Make sure it is defined in components.json as follows:
