On a Lenovo P52s with hybrid Nvidia P500 and intel UHD650 graphics when booting usually the external screen connected via a lenovo usb-c docking goes into standby. Directly afterward the laptop also enters standby.
In the logs there is a message repeated:
evdi: [E] evdi_painter_connect:871 Edid length too small
This is since using the Nvidia 570.86.16-ubuntu0 drivers

Booting the laptop without connection to the dock and connecting after boot the external screen works fine.
When booting with the laptop lid open, connected to the dock and closing the lid when the login window is displayed also switches correctly to the external monitor.
When manually retrieving the Edid, it is 256kb The Edid logged by evdi is only 128kb
