black screen when starting pro updater

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. i copy all the progams over onto my psp
2. as directed copy them into the folder
3. i start the pro updater 

What is the expected output? 
the install progamme to work

What do you see instead?
Black screen after extended amount of time without ever seeing a menu

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
psp 1003 running 6.60 the pro updater im trying to install is 660pro-c2

this is the first time i have tryed to custom firmware my psp
