I clan-member got this great idea. What if a clan could share trade-data without uploading to EDDB.

Here's the reason:
If a clan is actively trading in a area then finds and uploads data to EDDB, then every trader close by might join in the fun. Sometimes .. that's exactly what you want. But sometimes you'd want to keep the route a secret .. just a little bit longer.

My thought was to add a DB connection to the list of sources (IBE,FILE, ). If you've added that datasource your findings are shared with that database - you don't get to only read from it.

BTW. I have Java experience not C#. But I'd like to join the team if I may.

Hi,

should be possible to share data. I have to think about it.

The other thing: I suggest you to try to understand how ED-IBE is working.
If you've got an overlook and you 've an idea how to improve it in detail we can talk about it.

But don't start to program something without first talking
to me about "what" and "how" it can be implemented, please.
In past I had some annoying experiences... ;)

But - of course - it's free to you to make your own branch without asking me anything

Hi,

I completely understand.

I wouldn't dream about doing anything without talking to you first. Second, anything I do will be in my clone and you'll get a pull request. But only once we agree on what I'm doing.

I'll start to look at the code during the weekend and get back to you shortly.

Having some problems installing VS2015 on Windows 10. Will get back as soon as that is fixed.

There seems to be no way of installing VS2015 on Windows 10... (strange ..) Will the CODE version do? In that case do you have any idea how I get to compile the code?
(how about a nice port to java? Just kidding ... :) )

Must be a special problem with your system because in general VS2015 runs on Win10

I have no experience with CODE- so I don't know if this works
