Docker images confusion

The docker images that are published at gcr.io/cos-cloud/cos-gpu-installer are a mix of the content of this repository and a different golang executable.

In particular:

• the ones published with calver, come from this repository
• the ones published with semantic versioning come from... ?

This is really confusing. Especially because the images with semantic versioning seem to reboot the host multiple times.
Can we clarify this situation?
