While performing the Looker Developer: Qwik Start (GSP891) lab on Qwiklabs / Cloud Skills Boost, I encountered a “This site can’t be reached” error when trying to open the generated Looker resource link.
The error displayed in the browser was:
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
🪜 Steps to reproduce:
- Start the Looker Developer: Qwik Start (GSP891) lab.
- Complete the setup and wait for the Looker instance to start.
- Click on the generated Looker instance URL — it points to something like:
https://uto72ax6yizujyavk6sxwuinjycpuwqlpllaeiaa4ytx7gvfifq.us-east1-b.resources.bumper-boats-00.services.qwiklabs.com
- Browser returns a “This site can’t be reached” error.
✅ Expected behavior
The Looker instance should launch successfully and display the Looker web interface.
⚠️ Observed behavior
The domain is not resolvable — the DNS record seems missing or expired before lab resources became available.
