There are other static site generators out there.
My general requirements:
- compatibility with old devices (no need for fancy javascript features)
- search (client-side ok, we don't have a ton of docs to search through)
- lean/efficient (minimal data usage, javascript, ram and cpu usage, etc.)
- performance (mostly using pagespeed insights to measure this)
- responsive (same page can adapt to various screen widths/mobile devices)
As for design, I do kind of like what just-the-docs does already with a hamburger button on the right instead of the left. That being said, I'm definitely in favor of other designs that don't rely on ye-ol hamburger button.
