Help in Setting Custom model in SOFA

Hi everyone , I have a custom heart modal and other similar objects that i want to use in the sofa unity VR project surgery simulation
right now i tried GMesh and then SOFA for this project and getting zero results.

Can someone help me out and figure this out .We went through all your resources, and could not figure out how to get our own model to import. We have been stuck on this for a while and need help on how to set up our own human anatomy model. Kindly reply and if possible give some technical help so that we can resolve this.

Our technology acts as a bridge between SOFA and Unity ,we don’t replace SOFA, but connect a SOFA simulation to Unity for visualization and interaction.

To better help you, could you clarify where you’re stuck?

Is the problem creating a working SOFA scene using your own models/assets inside SOFA?

Or do you already have a working SOFA scene, and the issue is integrating it into Unity using SofaUnity?

Once we know which side the problem is on, we can give you more precise guidance.

that we used all the resources and even tried reverse engineering, but we can't figure out how to use our custom surgical anatomy 3d model with sofa framework. We are not able to load it into sofa framework
we are using Gmesh for converting it first and then importing in sofa, but we are stuck

Ok, so the problem is coming from the SOFA integration itself.

As mentioned before, SofaUnity is a bridge that allows you to open and interact with an existing SOFA scene inside Unity. To use it, you first need a working SOFA scene that successfully loads and runs in the SOFA framework on its own.

If i understand it well, your current issue is therefore related to the SOFA framework, not the Unity integration. I would recommend downloading SOFA from here:
https://www.sofa-framework.org/download/
Build it and creat/test your scenes directly in SOFA first. Once your custom anatomy model loads and works correctly there, you can come back and integrate it into Unity using SofaUnity.

The SOFA GitHub has a much larger community that can help. Be sure to provide as many details as possible (file format, extensions, how the mesh was created, error logs, etc.).
