I see that reg model generated is based on uvm 1.2 and it has compile errors when compiled with uvm-ieee. Is there a option to provide uvm version to the tool when generating the uvm reg model so that it generated uvm-iee compatible reg model.

There is no such option. Haven't played with the updated reg models, but
should be doable depending on level of change from 1.2. How close is the
generated model to what is needed for uvm-ieee
