You mean that your key does not have the format
XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX ?

Maybe your key was too much used/Invalid? Try to generate a new key on your dashboard:
https://developer.riotgames.com
Tell me if it still doesn't work after that

I just checked it out, it worked out with one of my API key.
Thought, I've noticed that on Windows 10, the new console may display things weirdly sometimes.
You can fix that with "Properties>Use legacy console". I'll fix that in the future
