[Bug] Blocking does not work as expected

Bug description

You can still be hit while right-clicking to block with a sword. Blocking does not always activate correctly or reduce damage as it should.

To Reproduce

1. Equip a sword.
2. Hold right-click to block.
3. Let a mob or player attack you.
4. Notice that hits still register normally.

Expected behavior

Holding right-click with a sword should activate blocking immediately and reduce or prevent damage according to the original mechanic.
