Observables / SpecAPI

Hey!
are there any plans to add Observables support via Makie.SpecAPI to AlgebraOfGraphics.jl?
Given that SpecAPI also allows to add / remove facets, this might be something that works?

No plans because interactivity is not relevant for the kind of work that I'm currently doing. But there were ideas previously to convert AoG to SpecAPI mostly because it seems more fitting to the declarative approach.

If you want to try something out, it might not actually be so difficult because AoG already stores the info in something close to specs before plotting it. Run compute_axes_grid(layers, scales) to receive a matrix of AxisSpecEntries.

You would have to convert this matrix into a layout spec object by using the stored axis and plot entry parameters to build Makie specs.
