I've had the HGX daemon running for a while on the telemeter demo at a 15-second interval on my old mothballed laptop server. Its memory usage has slowly but surely climbed to around 500MB; ps aux --sort -rss confirms this is the actual hypergolix daemon and not telemeter (nor the hgx.service I also have running, which is, incidentally, damn good news).
This isn't a release blocker, but it's definitely a high-ish priority to find and fix.
