mpirun shel

hello
i'm pretty sure i'm doing some thing wrong here so please help me out.
i'm trying to run mt shel file but it's taking too long.
WAVEWATCH III shel input.txt
i use swich_Ifremer1, so i thought it was going to run fast and use all my processors
but when i use ./ww3_shel to run it, for each point it almost took 2 minutes.

then i tried using mpirun -n 10 ./ww3_shel
but it doesn't look much different

i'm a new to opensource programs and linux, so i'm probably doing it wrong, but i have a big area of study and my wind data is for two month so i can't realy afford this much wait.

problem was with my grid files. lowered the res and it's good to go.
