We do not yet have an NWP application to use for testing and demonstrating Chiltepin. The JEDI QG model that is built into the JEDI OOPS repository is suitable for this purpose. It is a small toy model that behaves similarly to a real NWP model and comes pre-packaged with all of the JEDI applications for running forecasts in parallel with multiple types of data assimilation algorithms. It builds and runs quickly, which makes it usable in a CI environment with limited resources.
