vim terminal

I exactly followed everything but for vim terminal i can pull out the terminal using the TerminalSplit bash but after that for example i want to run cd Documents for example . But when i press enter i go to the next line I am sure i am doing something wrong kinda new to it so kindly help

in vim terminal you need to press esc or ctrl. c in order to be in normal mode and than you can switch panels using control and w and j k or h l
