2024.2-1 OFS n6001 board_test with ofs_n6001_usm failing

which is used for release tag: 2024.2-1
the board test application is tested with ofs_n6001 and not with ofs_n6001_usm.

when the board_test is run with ofs_n6001, we expected output :

however the test#7 is skipped

so i tried to run the board_test with ofs_n6001_usm , so that i can run test#7. But i got following error:

i am using

Intel(R) oneAPI DPC++/C++ Compiler 2024.2.1 (2024.2.1.20240711)

and using the default AXI Streaming Intel FPGA IP for PCI Express in FIM OFS 2024.2

I rebuild the FIM with older PCIe IP (Intel FPGA IP Subsystem for PCI Express), as explained in following link:

As of the OFS 2024.2 release, the PCIe-SS uses the AXI Streaming Intel FPGA IP for PCI Express by default, which does not support Data Mover Mode. OFS releases prior to OFS 2024.2 used the Intel FPGA IP Subsystem for PCI Express which does support Data Mover Mode. If Data Mover Mode is required, you must change the target IP in the PCIe OFSS file. You must also reduce the IOPLL frequency to a maximum of 470 MHz.

and now the USM bandwidth (test#7) of board_test application pass:

It seems like the USM bandwidth test uses "Data Mover Mode", which is missing in new OFS PCIE IP (AXI Streaming Intel FPGA IP)

Hi,

Thank you for the update. Can you confirm the tag your asp is using for ofs-platform-afu-bbb? For this, check path that the OFS_PLATFORM_AFU_BBB environment variable was set to while building the FIM and oneAPI ASP. Use git describe --tags command to check the tag in the cloned repo.

Also, was this same tag used in the non-working and working scenarios for both the FIM PR build and oneAPI ASP generation (using build-asp.sh script)?

For boths cases, i used ofs-2024.2-1 tag of ofs-platform-afu-bbb

Hi @umairsiddiqui-digitek , following up on this issue, can you provide me with the results of "sudo lspci -s 1:00.0 -vvv" on the system that was giving the error? (using the correct PCIe B:D.F for your board if it is not 1:00.0) It can be done with either variant of the PCIe SS.
