🌟 Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct

✨ Our Pledge

In the spirit of building a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community around PeerPrep – Student Peer Learning & Resource Hub, we as contributors, maintainers, and community members pledge to foster a welcoming environment where everyone feels safe and respected.

Our goal is to empower students across backgrounds to freely share knowledge, ask questions, and collaborate without fear of harassment or discrimination. We celebrate diversity and commit to making this space accessible and enjoyable for all.

Whether you’re here to contribute code, share study resources, ask questions, or help others learn, your voice matters — and it deserves respect.

👩‍💼 Our Responsibilities

Maintainers and community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing standards of acceptable behavior by:

  • Responding promptly and respectfully to reports of unacceptable conduct.
  • Taking appropriate corrective actions such as warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans when necessary.
  • Documenting enforcement actions internally to ensure accountability.
  • Leading by example through respectful and supportive interactions.

📢 Reporting Guidelines

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please take the following steps:

  1. Document the incident including dates, times, places, and people involved where possible.
  2. Report the behavior confidentially to the project maintainers at: [maintainers@peerprep.org]
  3. Maintain confidentiality to protect everyone involved.
  4. Know that all reports will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly.

  • A private warning and request to change behavior.
  • Temporary suspension of contribution privileges or community access.
