Please provide a method for the status page monitor section to allow end users to drill down and view past and active incident descriptions. Perhaps the Uptime Graph on the status overview page would be a good place to drill down into this information. Conversely, the incidents section of the status page should have "active" and "resolved" incidents viewable in much the same way that announcements have an optional time field indicating when they should be removed from the page.

A good place for this might be the status bar graph. Users would click on the section of the graph showing the degraded monitor and drill down and read the description of the issue. alternatively, they might be redirected to the incidents page which should show details of current and past incidents.

This description information should be collected from both of these areas:

  • when creating monitor status events using the monitor status timeline page a description field should be added to the intake form for this purpose
  • when declaring a new incident using the Declare New Incident page then the "description" field already present should be used for this purpose
