Make "windows" easier to customize #127
Comments
Maybe the best candidate would be https://github.com/tupilabs/vue-lumino, which is what Jupyter Lab uses internally for the same behavior. Other alternatives:

Another good solution: https://github.com/emedware/vue-golden-layout And one that seems not to be fully open-sourced: https://www.htmlelements.com/docs/docking-layout/ |
Made "window" resizing a bit more flexible, e.g. you can completely hide the left side and resize the model builder / user workspace area. Will be added to 0.8.0. Moving this ticket to future for a potential implementation of docking/reordering/... with e.g. the golden layout or lumino libraries. |
The "blocks" (model builder, maps, left discovery panel, user workspace) should be easier to customize. User should be able to move and resize them. Also, it would be nice if parts could be disabled by default (e.g. don't show "empty" by default) or the model builder could be disabled by default for better integration into other components, like the Jupyter lab.
The discovery panel and maybe also the map could also be slide in/out panels, which may make it easier to also save some space in the Visual Editors shown in the Parameter Editor...
