Getting started and contributing to your project

I've been through the basics of setting up a Docker-ized Mapnik and creating tiles but I'd like to know how to leverage this repository and data-opensnowmap to get OpenSnowMap tiles running locally.  Could you add some basic notes in a README or CONTRIBUTING file?
