Infinite prune loop on v0.4.17; but OK on v0.4.2

I've seen this infinite prune looping happen a couple times on v0.4.17, using claude/sonnet-4.5

I can at least assure it does not happen on version v0.4.2

Do you know what happens?

Yea i've noticed this as well, I'm working on a big refactor due to some opencode changes that should fix this, I'll be done soon i'll let you know here.

fixed in @tarquinen/opencode-dcp@beta, will close this when its in latest release as well

tried the @beta version, caused new user messages to be injected which confuse the model.

did the configuration change? its complaining that the jsonc variables are unknown now.

the error does not show up in the debug logs and i am too slow to copy it from the toast message.

got a part of it:

Yes, delete yours or back it up and a new default config file will be created when you restart opencode

still the prune result is getting added to the context:

To workaround this, "pruningSummary": "off", does the trick.

It's not getting added to context that is UI so you can see what is pruned, that message doesn't get sent to the LLM.

The thinking block you're seeing is from the tool injecting a list of options for the model to prune, closing since original issue seems to be addressed
