Once you connect, the CLI command exit. Wouldn't be better to keep it alive displaying some status info? or have a dashboard where you can also make sure that connection is still alive and have a way to close it.
What happen if suddenly connection is lost, you wouldn't notice it and you'll expose your original IP.

Have a look at https://gitlab.com/butmonkeh/pvpnmon it's a small, simple GUI for protonvpn-cli to monitor the connection status, with an experimental kill-switch. It's beta status, so there are bugs in v0.7.
it originally went up on gitlab, as github went round & round in recaptcha errors, but that's been resolved. I could mirror it here, if needed. I'll probably post it when v0.8 lands, as that will squish a couple of bugs, and potentially be a final, if nothing else is required.
