Setup: Import a Cryptomatte image, then attach a cryptomatte node to the image, then another cryptomatte node to the cyptomatte node.
If the upstream Cryptomatte node is in matte mode, the comp will crash if the downstream node is attempted to be loaded in the viewer.
Current Workaround: Don't accidentally chain cryptomatte nodes and view the downstream nodes.
Maybe add a test to or exception to catch this without crashing?

Okay so that does not sound good. Then again considering it was still in beta I would be very interested in hearing whether this is still a problem for you. If you would have the time/energy to try this again, that would be highly appreciated.
