Installation instructions are confusing

Do you need to install Options first? Or does is strip the features out? Is it stable across updates?
I appreciate English may not be your first language but it would be good to know these things.

Thanks for the feedback — you’re right this should be clearer. English is not my first language, so I appreciate you pointing it out.

This app does not require Options+ to be installed first. It uses Logitech’s official installer with the selected feature flags. If Options+ is already installed, it uninstalls it first, then reinstalls it with those options. It does not strip files after installation.

It also tries to preserve the local configuration during reinstall.

This should work as long as Logitech keeps the same installer behavior and flags, though future installer changes may require updates to this app.

If you have suggestions for clearer README or UI wording, I’d be happy to improve it.

Your English is really good!
That explanation is just what you need in the ReadMe. The only other obvious ones is the names for the feature flags - DFU is assumably Device Firmware Update but a few more words of explanation would be good for other users.

Thanks — that’s a very helpful suggestion, and I’ll add more explanation to the README.

For names like DFU, I was balancing two things: staying close to Logitech’s original wording, and keeping the UI clean. In the app, each feature also shows help text on hover, so there is some extra explanation there.

Still, I agree that these labels can be unclear for new users, so adding clearer descriptions in the README is a good idea.
