just got latest version 5.23.7 on mac and cannot connect to public broadcasters

I'm on mac ARM and it is stuck on yellow "connecting to public broadcasters" forever, and every time i quit and open the app it says "Error connecting to public broadcasters". i was forced to update and now it doesn't work. please fix
