Airport Model Improvements: User Experience #341
-
|
In the last round of improvements to the airport model, we spent time setting up the UEC so that a user (Mike C. at the time) could more easily manipulate the various input assumptions during scenario testing (e.g., changing parking prices, changing access times, etc). This was straightforward with the old Java UECs, which were Excel files, so we could set up a form-like page in the UEC (see here). We now have new users and a new software platform. Should we assume that the user supporting the airport model planning work is sufficiently comfortable with the ActivitySim configuration files that direct manipulation of these files is a sufficient user experience? Or do we want to do anything to expose a subset of parameters in a different way? cc: @rcu, @AshishKuls |

@DavidOry I am unable to access the UEC Google Docs form, but the current ABM config structure is relatively straightforward to edit. I think that the users supporting the airport model update are comfortable with or will become comfortable with editing the ActivitySIM configs. |
