Should we make this ourselves or get the bot to make a pr? I might be able to fund it if I can set up xmrig successfully. Also, we need to get rid of the chats in the forums, such as website chat, as it apparently is against the scratch community guidelines because it is considered a chatroom.
|
I made the wiki on Miraheze instead. See codinghut.miraheze.org |
@mcgdj Also I can make you an Admin of the wiki! But first you would need to sign in then you would need to make an edit then it will let me add you as an admin. |
Great, that should replace our previous forum site. While I cannot view anything on scratch since I am blocked, I am confident that the transition will be smooth. I trust that the top links on our discussion page I've been changed? And then key topics have been re-created? Regardless of our status, I am glad that the scratch team allows something outside of their website. We should probably close the old forum site again so nothing weird happens , like that strange user that got access to your account. Additionally, there should be more secure, do you to the nature of the sign in, however, we shouldn't use the self – created key because it has too many personal details. I assume that the user who logged in did so passively – they probably found a way to generate that key used to link your scratch account and get access to your forum-admin powers. I suggest that instead we link our github accounts. Then, we can put our scratch user name on our get up accounts like we have already done, and that can be used as scratch verification. This is more secure, because Github is an established company, and we all have 2FA enabled. Plus, they would be much easier to track and report if needed. What do you think?
|
I will ban everyone from the old forum and close registrations. i told everyone about the new wiki as well. I did an archive on the internet archive before this just in case people want to see it. |
If you haven't already, you should also probably set my status on the discussion page as white, as I am on a vacation, but not really. This is because scratch essentially deleted my account on the basis that I am a "bot".
|
Nice – I just got a notification that I have been deleted from the old forum site.
|
Did you send an appeal? |
Done! I added your status as white. |
Last major update: I am working on a github bot to replace mentat (don't mention it, as you know, as it will activate it). That way you won't have to pay for overpriced AI responses. Its name is (tentatively) @mcgdjBOT. It will be able to create PR's, create and respond to issues, with no cost to you. (I'll make a service to charge others later)
|
I did send an appeal. I got an automated message, saying it was received, and to not send multiple messages, but nothing else. This was about a week ago.
|
When I make the Deploy application (remember the other thing), not only helping with sub-websites, it can scan stuff but is there an api I can use to implement that bot into my bot? |
Also what’s your Miraheze username? I need it to add you as an administrator and bureaucrat on the wiki! |
There is. text.pollinations.ai/prompt-goes-here will work just fine.
|
It will answer your prompt using ChatGPT-4.1-Nano. Just send a GET request. If you want to, I can show you how to select other models, such as Google Gemini, a larger chatgpt model, or Quen-coder (or even Deepseek). Miraculously, none of this uses an API key, and as always free.
|
Ok, but have you signed up for Miraheze yet? If you do, what’s your username, I want to make you an administrator so we can work together on the wiki! |
I thought Gemini used an API key or does Pollinations AI not require a Gemini Key? If so how do they manage rate limits since api keys are useful for managing rate limits as well. |
Also how to get rid of the ad at the bottom of the prompt response? I used the prompt http://text.pollinations.ai/what%20is%20scratch%20coding%20hut? But it has an ad at the end of the prompts, how do you get rid of that? |
Unfortunately, I haven't. I apologize for the delay.
|
Not to be rude but When will you be able to do that? |
Any updates on the wiki? |
Pollinations AI yes, does have ads. I will show you how to bypass them. 1.) Don't use particularly large bottles. These are the ones that often contain the most ads. If you don't need a large bottle, consider using a smaller one. 2.) use AI to remove ads. Ads for all your beer if your property contains something specific, for example, if you mentioned music in your query, an ad about a music streaming service might pop up. However, these only pop up at the end. I have found success in prompting the AI to give a response only an X number of characters, for example, 500, and removing the extra characters at the end, as they are ads. Pollination also uses the same ad over and over. Since not many companies advertise on their platform, we could make a list of ads, out of the exact matches found, we can do with that too. To some extent, I have found success in this as well, but I can be challenging to keep up with new ads, especially if they come and go in bursts. As a final resort, I myself can create an issue on their source code page. I can use the leverage I got from using their platform for my AI server (their staff uses it) to negotiate with them if you would like. Oh, and also, I apologize for my delay in creating the forum account. Airport Wi-Fi is not secure, so while I am sending this email via cellular, it is not strong enough to load the site. In a few hours, I will be back at my workstation, cover, ready to create my account. I sincerely apologize for the oversight. (I thought they discontinued 3G… I guess not.)
|
Remember, it’s not a forum account, it’s a wiki account. |
Cool! Good idea! Is it powered by pollination ai? Just interested. Also I will continue to work on the deploy bot as well. The GitHub account for it is @ScratchCodingHut |
You are out of Mentat credits. You can view and refresh your credits here. |
Any updates @kRxZykRxZy @mcgdj @snoopythe3-from-scratch |

Let’s work on the wiki!
|
Oops! I posted this from my email and for some reason it used the scratch coding hut one I need to fix it. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
Did you know linking to Miraheze wikis are allowed? (Ive seen AmpMod do it and link to its and the scratch team allowed it) (its allowed since Miraheze controls all the wikis)
I will make a wiki on Mireheze.org for Coding Hut! (I know I won’t get a strike from the Scratch Team)!
Do you agree? What do you think?
I will tell you when it’s been approved.
UPDATE: you can find it here - https://codinghut.miraheze.org/
