Extend formulation to include an operation variable that enables flexible operation based on installed capacity.

Assumptions:

  • Each process has exactly one reference flow
  • The inventory of each process can be temporally classified in Construction, Operation and Decomission where Construction and Decommission Inventory is dependent on installed capacity
  • Inventory during operation is fixed in relation to the reference flow and proportional to amount of reference flow produced
