[Request] resizeable arrows

Kind of. I think my in-line reactions have arrows that are too long.

Describe the solution you'd like
It would be nice to have a set or show rule that lets me resize the arrows globally. I have looked at the documentation and there does not seem to be one.

I just added this to the newest release, It’s not yet on the universe, since I have to polish a few things. What do you think would be a good default for the inline math arrow length? In the newest release we also added the block:true/false from the math.equation function to our ce function.

@Ants-Aare is it possible to add even automatic -d6 recognition for deuterated solvent and bonds in the next release? i could help working on that

Could you provide an example of the type of syntax you’re thinking about and what the end result should look like?

Usually deuterated solvents are indicated with -dₙ in which n stands for the number of D in the molecule: DMSO-d₆, acetone-d₆, THF-d₈ so adding a rule that sets the number subscript after -d could be an idea...

These bonds are from the mhchem latex package

for the for the normal bonds i would suggest a syntax like -- for single bond, == for double bond, ## for triple bond, maybe ... for non covalent interactions, ~- for dotted bonds, ~-- -~- and --~ for dotted triple bonds (for the dative bonds i have no idea, maybe |->)?

it would be nice represent the bonds using values that can be changed (like #ce("",bond-width: 0.5em)) to personalize the look when using other font weights

I like the bond syntax and someone else requested something similar, I think I’m gonna add it next release. For the dotted bonds and noncovalent bonds… aren’t they essentially the same? Why do you have different symbols in the third row and fifth row for dotted single bond? I think the double and triple bonds should adhere to the same = and # syntax when being dotted so maybe like this …= or =… depending on if you want the dots above or below. I would hold off on the dative bonds because we use that syntax for the reaction arrows and I don’t want it to get mixed up. The d6 syntax already works in the newest version, so should be no problem 😋 once it’s on the universe at least 😅

I'd say, chemically speaking, the third rows (dashed bonds) means that a bond is breaking and another one is forming, or that there is π-delocalization while the fifth row (dotted bonds) means that there is non covalent interactions between two atoms that are not part of the same molecule
