Plan out firmware stack

Plan out a firmware stack that is as hardware agnostic as possible.

Deliverable of this would be a drawio document showing how we intend to abstract the functions we need into different modules. 

Ie, I/O layer, manager layer, and some sort of state machine layer?

Should take into account RTOSes and superloops
