As part of my PhD project, I have developed a platform for automating/improving rodent pain testing for research. Essentially, a stimulator is being moved around under some mice using stepper motors and then a stimulus is applied. This can be done automatically using computer vision to drive the motors or by a user with a controller. I have a working GUI to control everything written in Python with tkinter, but I'm looking for someone with more experience to make improvements and help with deployment as we commercialize this device.
If you want to see more, here is a preprint of a paper on the device, Video 7 shows the current form of the GUI with AI-driven positioning: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2023.04.13.536768v2.full
