Missing Dependencies pgsrip and vobsub2srt

First time installing the app and when I launched it nothing seemed to happen after I selected an MKV and loaded the tracks. I started poking around in settings and noticed it was missing some dependencies so I installed those. I couldn't get two to install.

Install vobsub2srt causes an error:
"Installtion script not found: /Applications/Subtitle Forge.app/Contents/MacOS/install_vobsub2srt.sh"

Install pgsrip causes an error:
"Unknown tool: pgsrip"

All the other dependencies installed fine. Also after a while I tried resizing the window and saw the dependencies section at the bottom of the screen. There is no visual indication that anything populates below the Subtitle Tracks "Sort by:" selection. Maybe the Results section should be higher up? Or the tracks loaded to the side instead of underneath?

Hi, thx for trying the app, and giving some feedback..
is this on Mac ARM version on Intel version

is tested here, and indeed, it not in the build.

install_vobsub2srt.sh

For now you can use this installer...
I'l make new build, with the tools in it again....

Can you be more specific what you mean by that

Visually there is no indication that something is missing after launching the app. I think there should be a popup window to alert the user that dependencies are required. Depending on the users screen size, they may not be able to make the window tall enough to see that content. (What does the app windows look like on a 1920x1080 screen resolution?) On MacOS, scrollbars are hidden by default; so I had no indication that I need to scroll down the window to see more content.

I am running it on MacOS 15.7.1 Sequoia.

Install vobsub2srt was able to run now. (I did need to add cmake to my homebrew manually.)

But Install pgsrip produces this error now.

I did try the manual brew install but it thinks I want to install grip instead. Does pgsrip have an Mac version of their package? It doesn't seem to.

ok reviewed it again
there is no pgsrip mac osx package.
has to be installed using python

Rebuilded app v2.0.12 now, with those fixes again.

I got the same error, but I was able to run "python3 -m pip install pgsrip" from the command line and get it installed. Not sure why the script had an issue with that.

I was able to run my first MKV and everything looked good. I'm running a batch of files now. Thanks again!

can you give me a screen or so, where you can see that, of where the error pops up ?

Using the "Install pgsrip" button results in this:

I installed pgsrip manually using python3.

But it is not detected.

try this in terminal

export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"

Then restart the Subtitle Forge app - it should detect pgsrip after this PATH extension.

The core issue is that ~/.local/bin isn't in the default PATH when apps are launched from the macOS Applications folder, so the app needs to explicitly check this location.
