Nvenc alternative

I understand that this guide is aimed at those who do not have a high-end device, as they are looking to reduce the amount of processing power on their gaming device. I have a device so old it doesn't even have Nvenc but it does have an Nvidia card. Is there any alternative to keep OBS CPU usage below 1% without using Nvenc? Because I couldn't get that result in my tests.
